Follow these steps to perform the above-mentioned task:
1. First, right-click on the battery icon that is displayed on your desktop screen.
2. Then select the Power Option.
3. A “Power Options” page will open, From the left side select the option named “Choose what closing the lid does”.
4. Select Do nothing from the dropdown menu under the “On battery” column of the “When I close the lid” options row.
5. Under the “Plugged in” column, select Do nothing from the drop-down menu.
6. Choose “Save changes” at the bottom of the page.
